The Problem
Current ways of approaching cultural immersion are confusing and intimidating. Additionally, resources are scattered, making it hard to navigate through.

Opportunity
User Flow
From the research gathered, I created a user flow to envision the path a user takes from to view travel suggestions.

Persona
A persona was created to define the target audience and identify user needs.

User Journey Map
After creating personas, a user journey map was created to envision user actions, thoughts, emotions, pain points, and opportunities.

Low Fidelity Wireframes

User Testing and Feedback
Using low fidelity wireframes, I conducted user testing to identify pain points. Key takeaways from user testing revealed that the posts within the profile page were confusing. To address this, I re-evaluated the hierarchy and grouping of information to simplify the layout.
Branding and Visual Identity
The brand's identity was inspired by adventure, exploration, and playfulness, which are depicted through the brand colors and icons.

The Solution
To reduce frustration and stress for travelers, Know-How provides a hub where users can engage with locals and learn about a culture.
Cultural Hub
A cultural hub provides prospective travelers a platform to learn about a culture directly from a local.
Through a centralized cultural and informative hub, users can build deep connections with locals and gain a greater understanding of the culture.
Guides
Guides are located in the home page and provide users with helpful information created by locals. Information such as linguistic guides and transportation guides are provided to users.
Recommendations
Read through recommendations provided by locals. Users can view suggestions for different activities, restaurants, and more.
